Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a young boy was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while officials has requested "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the G7 - in supplying protection systems and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

He said that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets struck energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the city came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A young boy was killed and three other people were hurt.

The strikes succeed nights of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to spot.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already impacting gas facilities.

Officials stated utility staff and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
